Colonel's colours were usually on a white field and were carried by the first company of the regiment. The central device of a hand bearing a sword from a cloud, within a golden chain, is most common. Some contemporary illustrations show colours with a double-headed eagle. I have included these for completeness, and will be using a few of them myself just to break-up the monotony...
Company Colours
The remaining companies carried the same colour, with a series of stars or similar, to differentiate them. It should be noted that the second company would show a single star, as it was the first company to carry a colour other than the Colonel's colour.
